Earth Science 11 - Period 2
  • Volcano documentary today.  We will get into some notes next class.
Science 8 - Period 3
    • Started the class looking at your very own cheek cells.  Pretty cool.
    • Followed by notes comparing prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, 2014 - Day 1

Biology 11 - Periods 5 and 6

  • Finished up the notes for the bacteria unit.  You will be writing a quiz on this material on Friday (next class).  Please take some time to prepare for this quiz.
  • Also on Friday I will be collecting all of your bacteria work -  3 notesheets and the Sampling Bacteria/Bacteria Microslides package.  Please have this work completed and ready to hand in.
  • Formal labs will be due next Tuesday (Jan. 28th).

  • Finished the chapter 4 (enzymes) notes today.  You will be tested on this material next tuesday (Jan. 28th).

Tuesday, Jan. 21st, 2014 - Day 1

Biology 12 - Period 1

  • Today you were carrying out your controlled experiments using the enzyme catalase.  I think every group was able to collect some usable data, so now you can start thinking about putting together your formal lab.
  • We will finish up the enzyme notes next class.
Earth Science 11 - Period 2
  • Plate Tectonics test today.  I hope everyone was prepared and did well.
  • We will start the volcano unit next class.
Science 8 - Period 3
    • A few notes to start followed by the always popular Onion Cell Lab.
    • I think everyone saw some onion cells and perhaps their nuclei.
    • You will be handing in your completed lab at the start of next class.

Biology 11 - Periods 5 and 6

  • Today you were collecting the results for your bacteria lab.  You can now begin putting together your formal lab write up which will be due next week.
  • Also some notes and powerpoint today in preparation for your Bacteria quiz which will be happening this Friday (January 24th).

  • Your midyear exam will be happening on Friday, February 7th.  It will cover all topics from the start of the year to now (bacteria).
