Biology 12 - Period 5

• After the assembly (great speeches), we talked about "threshold" and what it means in terms of a nerve impulse.  In this case it's "all or nothing".
• We will begin studying the synapse next class.

Biology 11 - Periods 7 and 8

• Yes folks, it's true.  We are animals.  Now is your chance to learn about our animal cousins.  Sponges, jellyfish, parasitic worms, slugs and so on.  Can you believe we're related to them?
• Characteristics and evolutionary trends today.
• Next day you will be doing a brief presentation of your assigned phylum. Fun stuff.
