Biology 12 - Period 1

Brainstormed and concept mapped some Circulatory System ideas and terms.  Followed that up with some notes on different types of blood vessels.

Biology 11 - Period 2

Earth Science - Period 3

Reviewed last day's algae notes (click here for Ms. Tam's powerpoint), then worked on the algae lab.  Quiz next day on Green Algae.  Will happen ONLY in the first 10 minutes of class.  Nice!

Finished the Cave documentary and then looked at the Earthquake powerpoint (click to link).  We will finish talking about earthquakes on Thursday and you will write an Earthquake test on Monday, February 21st.

Fungus lab today for period 1.  Lots of prepared slides and moldy fruit to look at.  Lab will be due Monday.

Period 2 class played catch up.  Reviewed meiosis and mitosis.  Also looked at the Fungus Powerpoint which came with some NOTES.  Fungus lab next class.

More presentations today.  Will they ever end!?  The liver/pancreas/gall bladder  group finished up and were followed by the small intestine group who only got started.  We will learn more about the small intestine and all about the large intestine next week.

Today we were treated to our first digestion presentation.  The mouth/esophagus people did a fine job and the stomach  group will finish on Wednesday.  We will be treated to presentations on the liver/pancreas/gall bladder and the small intestine this Wednesday.

In the library today working on the digestion project or reviewing for your Mid Year Exam coming up on Thursday, February 3rd.  Presentations will begin on Monday, February 7th with the Mouth/Esophagus and Stomach groups starting things off.  Please have your handouts ready and handed to me by the end of the day Friday, or early Monday.  Thank you.   Here is a link to the PLO's for Bio 12.  Pages 55 - 67 in the PDF list the PLO's which will be covered in the Mid Year.
